A non-profit corporation organized under Section 501(C)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
The "Classic" has awarded 320 scholarships for nearly $466,250 to Clay County students! The tournament founders and the Scholarship Committee like the concept of providing academically borderline students with financial needs the opportunity to continue their education. Furthermore, once a student has been selected, their scholarship support will continue for a total of four years provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA each semester.
The tournament is unique because it was founded by Clay County golfers to provide a competition of ALL golfers, hosted by Clay County Golf Clubs, for the benefit of Clay County youth.
